Cute is What We Aim For [@ MOD Club]
06/25/08
My first in years. God, was it exhilarating. Though, there were issues with transportation for me, causing much anxiety. I’m glad to say it all turned out well, though. I got to enjoy myself at the concert and met a few nice people. Too bad I wasn’t focused enough to ask them for their 411. Well, if they like music like I do, I’m bound to see them at the MOD Club again.
Anyways, the bands that played were:
Danger Radio: http://www.myspace.com/dangerradio
Ace Enders: http://www.myspace.com/aceendersandamilliondifferentpeople
Powerspace : http://www.myspace.com/powerspace
and of course, the headliner…

All of the bands did a great job playing to the crowd and making everyone enjoy themselves. All the acts were pop-punk (basically) so you got to dance around and shout a lot. ’twas fun. Cute is What We Aim For really impressed me. I love them and all, but they devoted about 70% of their set to their older songs, which I like more than their newer stuff. The lead singer, Shaant, was fun, guy. He stopped singing for one part and started to laugh. He told everyone to look around and one guy had a liter out; flame torqued and all. It had to be 2′ of flame. Shaant then said “Sorry guys. I just imagined that liter blowing up in that guys face”. So funny. Oh yeah, and I got to meet Ace Enders. He was sitting at the back of the room for all the acts after his set, meeting with people, signing autographs and stuff. Cool guy.
Definitely checkout this concert if it swings by your town. Totally worth the 17 bucks, man.
